Pastoral Care
An international student, enrolled at the School, has the same rights and responsibilities as regular students. A student who experiences difficulties with his/her work, with other students, with a teacher or other staff members can talk with his/her class sponsor or Pastoral Care Person or any member of the International Student Enrolment Group member or upper school teacher he/she feels comfortable with. Students can ask for a confidential appointment with a counsellor.
International students who experience difficulties are expected to talk with the Liaison Teacher or Pastoral Care Person (for school/curriculum-related problems) or the Homestay Manager (for problems with the homestay), who have been appointed by the School to act as the international students’ sponsors. Processes have been established to ensure that the student’s welfare is monitored and that the homestay is satisfactory. There are regular meetings with the students and also with the host families to help ensure a mutually satisfying experience.
