Immigration Visa Requirements

When a student has been accepted to study at Raphael House, and upon receipt of all fees paid in full, an Offer of Place Letter will be sent to enable a Student Visa to be obtained.

Please Note:

Students Coming for ONE Term only:  For a stay up to and NO LONGER than three months - students can come and study on a Visitor's Visa.  A Visitor's Visa gives the student the right to remain in New Zealand for 3 months in one calendar year.  The student may attend school on the Visitor's Visa.  This Visa CANNOT be extended, therefore students need to make sure that they are in possession of a return ticket which is within the 3 month period of the Visa.

If an overseas student has ANY intention of possibly extending their stay in New Zealand over 3 months, be it for study or travel, then they should obtain a Student Visa

ALL STUDENTS APPLYING FOR MORE THAN ONE TERM NEED TO HAVE A STUDENT VISA.  Students need to apply for their Student Visa in their HOME COUNTRY, prior to their stay in New Zealand.

RAPHAEL HOUSE WILL NOT ENROL OVERSEAS STUDENTS FOR MORE THAN 1 TERM IF THEY ONLY HOLD A VISITOR'S VISA.

A condition of your student visa is that you will be able to meet the full costs of education, accommodation and other living costs.

Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand whilst studying are available through New Zealand Immigration Service, and can be viewed on the website at www.immigration.govt.nz.  The New Zealand Government Office in your country will advise you of their requirements.
