Homestay Co-ordinator

The School arranges homestay accommodation for students with New Zealand families living close to the school. Our Homestay’s are checked by our Homestay Co-ordinator  Anne-Mareie who personally visits every potentialfamily who wish to accept an International Student.

All potential familes are police vetted in accordance with the New Zealand Code of Practice for Pastoral Care of International Students.

Homestay’s provide a fully furnished room, three meals a day and laundry and students will become a member of the family.  As the school is responsible for the welfare during your time in New Zealand you must live in approved homestay accommodation.
 
Sometimes for various reasons, it maybe necessary to change accommodation for the student.  The school would need two week’s notice in advance from the host parent or student.

When the homestay family is away for the weekend or on holiday, alternative accommodation can be arranged for the student, if required.  The student is not allowed to remain in the home by him/her self.  For legal reasons students under the age of 18 need to be with a designated homestay family or designated care-giver.
