Raphael House offers Off-site Teaching Programmes
Off-site programmes offer a range of experiences and learning opportunities for students outside the resources of the school.
Off-site programmes may include:

- Work-based practical components to learning
- Curriculum modules facilitated by off-site provider, eg. computer studies, language laboratory
- Field trips and cultural activities

By offering teaching programmes off-site the school:
- Offers enhancement of students' learning through accessing resources not available at Raphael House;
- Enables students to meet personal goals of co-operation and self-reliance in challenging environments
- Helps students develop practical skills
- Provides the opportunity for students to experience working in an adult world with the possibility of evaluating career options
- Provides the opportunity to experience social interaction with people with varied life experiences and in different environments
- Enables students to take part in sporting activities normally not available to them at school and to widen their boundaries
Teachers are required to follow the guidelines set out in the Ministry of Education’s ‘Education outside the Classroom’ booklet, which is available on Teacherread/EOTC. The appropriate forms must be submitted for approval at least one week before the planned trip/outing/camp.
