International students
Welcome to the Raphael House Rudolf Steiner School International Website.
Raphael House Rudolf Steiner School is an integrated area school with a special character, namely Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf education. We have a total roll of 360 students ranging from age 4 (in the Kindergarten) to age 18 Students are enrolled in classes 1 - 7 (NZ year 2 - 8) and classes 8-12 (NZ year 9-13).
Students from Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf schools outside New Zealand are encouraged to enrol as an international student (fee-paying or exchange) students. The student must at the time of application be enrolled in and be attending a Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf school (exceptions may be made for students who have attended a Rudolf Steiner School but can no longer do so, for instance because the distance to the nearest Waldorf school prohibits local enrolment)
Students will be accepted at Years 7 - 8 or aged 11 – 13 and Years 9 - 13 or aged 14 to 18. Generally we accept International Students enrolment for two terms (six months) or more. However, a shorter stay is negotiable.
- Raphael House provides students with an educational programme based on the Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf curriculum, cross-referred to the National Curriculum
- We have an excellent Pastoral Care Programme in place to support our students
- We are situated overlooking the Lowe Hutt - 25 minutes from Wellington the Capital City and have excellent modern facilities.
- Raphael House provides a friendly environment. The school's special character underpins all activities. Personally selected home stay accommodation is arranged with local families.
