Raphael House - Rudolf Steiner School

Raphael House  Rudolf Steiner School is an integrated area school with a special character, namely Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf Education, with a total roll of over 360 students ranging from age 4 (in the Early Childhood Centre/Kindergarten- 3 Kindergarten Groups), students in the Lower School Classes 1 - 7 (Yrs 2 - 8) and in the Upper School Classes 8 - 12 (Yrs 9 - 13).  We also have one class for Special Needs students.

Raphael House has grown from its early beginnings in a house in High Street , Lower Hutt.The school is situated on the western hills of Lower Hutt, on an 8-hectare site, looking out over the Hutt Valley and towards Wellington. The lower school classes are built around the playgrounds, with the upper school at the top of the site looking down on the lower school. The kindergarten is at street level and students 'work their way up' during their school career, with class 12 being at the top of the school.
