School Organisation
This year the College of Teachers is reviewing and renewing its function by the School management and the teaching body.
The need for a new structure reflects the growth of the School and the ever increasing duties and responsibilities that were previously handled by a small College.
- The new structure has a more inclusive and collaborative approach which aims to involve all teachers in the carrying, strengthening and deepening of Waldorf pedagogy and the Anthroposophical impulse within the School.
- The mandate structure:
- has worked with for a number of years
- is based on a distributed leadership structure, and has the expectation that all full time teachers will be involved in a mandate group
- Mandate Groups will be:
Curriculum
Festivals
Enrolment
Professional Development
Adult Education
SENCO – Special Education Needs Coordinator
College/Pedagogical Meeting (Thursdays)
- Reporting to the School Coordinator/Principal and organising the School’s management processes will be the task of the Coordinating Group. This Group consists of the School Coordinator/Principal, the Kindergarten, Lower School and Upper School Coordinators, and the Executive Officer. The Coordinating Group will also and support the work of the larger College.
- The new College structure acknowledges the legal responsibilities and accountabilities that that Board of Trustees requires of the School Coordinator/Principal.
